A Conversation about Sustainability between Dame Polly Courtice and Peter Simpson
This will be a free-flowing conversation between two exceptionally experienced people in the field of sustainability: the founder of the Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership and a former Chief Executive of Anglian Water. They are both members of the Water Conservators.
Polly and Peter have been working in this field for over thirty years and during that time have seen the dramatic evolution of the sustainability debate in terms of politics, economics and corporate responses. Topics they will cover include:
•
The evolution of the sustainability landscape – how politics, policy, and corporate attitudes have shifted over the last thirty years
•
Tackling the competing demands of economic growth, demographic shifts, and climate and nature recovery
•
Where is the water industry today and what barriers and opportunities lie ahead?
•
What defines “sustainability leadership” today – how attitudes have changed and what is required of today’s business leaders to drive genuine change and positive impact
This will be followed by an opportunity to network, with drink refreshments provided.
The event is free and by invitation only. Places are limited and available on a first come first served basis. To reserve a place please register using this link
