Founder of LCAG named in the Kings Birthday Honours with a CBE

Alderman, Alison Gowman has been named in the King’s birthday honours list for her outstanding public and voluntary services and continued commitment to sustainability and climate action.

Alison’s impressive career includes serving as Alderman of Dowgate Ward in the City of London Corporation, Sheriff of the City of London (2021-2022), and a consultant with DLA Piper UK LLP. Her dedication and continued service are still creating meaningful impact through her work within the City and as Founder of Livery Climate Action Group; a voluntary collaboration bringing together Livery Companies and Guilds to grow their knowledge and expertise in the practical measures they can take towards a sustainable, adaptable and resilient future.

Speaking of her honour, Alison said “This is a great honour for which I am humbled to be recognised for my work in the City and especially for sustainability. My work is a collaborative effort, where we all need to do as much as we can. I will keep up that commitment”.
