LCAG Conference 2026 summary

Supported by The Drapers’ Company, the Merchant Taylors’ Company, The City of London Corporation and The University of the Built Environment

The Livery Climate Action Group held its 4th in person conference on January 26th 2026 and discussed the topic Are we prepared?  exploring what the City of London and its Livery Companies are facing and what we need to build into the risk profile of our operations and buildings.

The range of speakers tackled the topics of financial risk, personal risk, buildings and food supplies. The strong links with the City Corporation were clear with the two Sheriffs of the City of London both of whom are experts in these topics speaking alongside an impressive array of other nationally well-regarded speakers such as The Baroness Brown of Cambridge, Julia King and Prof Tim Lang.

Kate Neale the Programme Lead for Climate for the City Corporation and the Environmental Resilience officer Tim Munday spoke about the challenge that the City of London faces.

Whilst there were many signs of innovation to give us hope, it was also clear that there was still a lot more to do to be prepared.

Five schools attended and students displayed their projects and asked searching questions of the panels and speakers. An exhilarating day!
