The Television for the Environment Charity was set up 39 years ago by the UN, WWF, and Central Television (ITV). As a charity, they commission filmmakers across the globe to produce short films highlighting environmental and sustainability issues and offer possible solutions.

In 2020 one of the winning films from the awards, ‘My Octopus Teacher‘ subsequently went on to win the BAFTA award and the Hollywood Oscar for best documentary.

For the first time in 11 years, the Film awards are being hosted in the City of London at Merchant Taylors Hall.

Out of 75 film entries, they have shortlisted 17 and the winners will be announced Black-tie Gala Dinner on 29 November. The awards event will be a memorable and unique occasion.
