22nd October 2024.

STOP PRESS: The full Conference programme and keynote slides are now available to view or download here.

Why was LCAG formed?

The Livery Climate Action Group was formed in 2021 to assist City of London Livery Companies and Guilds to manage their impact on climate change and the environment by reducing greenhouse gas emissions and making responsible use of resources.

What is LCAG?

The Group has created a series of Guidance Notes, sample Climate Action Plans and other associated resources drawing from the wide expertise within London’s Livery, as part of its ambition to be an invaluable support for Livery Companies and Guilds in their journeys toward net-zero emissions.

What does LCAG do?

The Group facilitates mutual self-help for Livery Companies and Guilds to grow their knowledge and expertise in the practical measures they can take towards a sustainable, adaptable and resilient future. This will allow them in turn to influence and encourage their associated professions and trades in the City and beyond.

What our supporters are saying

LCAG has genuinely started Livery Companies thinking about their impact on the climate and environment. Even more it has begun the process of mobilising the livery to influence their trades and professions more widely. A really important initiative!

Professor Averil Macdonald OBE – Immediate Past Master of the Worshipful Company of Fuellers

Through the collaborative efforts of LCAG, we have looked at all aspects that impact climate and environment, including the investment choices we make. Incremental steps taken by the livery companies can genuinely make a difference.

Liz Field, Liveryman and Court Assistant, Worshipful Company of International Bankers

Livery Companies are actively considering the impact of climate change. Many are already holding seminars or addressing this issue. Those directly connected to their trades and professions are able to work collaboratively to promote good practice in the wider community.

Alderman and Sheriff Alison Gowman

Livery Companies tackling climate change will be able to take action sooner and more effectively by learning from the knowledge and experience in LCAG’s self help group of like-minded companies working together towards a common goal.
